Anchorage Homeless Outreach Program
Making regular visits to homeless camps throughout the Anchorage area, the Anchorage Homeless Outreach Program (AHOP) team creates a bridge between service providers and the homeless to maximize access to resources. Anchorage Homeless Outreach services continue to be recognized as the preeminent effort in directly contacting and assisting individuals living on the streets of Anchorage.
Project Homeless Connect
Each year, staff volunteers in the Project Homeless Connect event to provide a one stop shop of resources for homeless individuals and families. Community volunteers assisted homeless people in obtaining food boxes, hot meals, showers and haircuts, onsite child care, substance abuse and mental health screenings, wheelchair repairs, housing applications, employment support, and health screenings.
